To use affordable, reliable and renewable energy and water technologies at the community and individual level to:

a) Improve health through the provision of clean lighting, clean cooking solutions and clean water solutions.

b) Increase household income through productive use of energy with emphasis on gender equality and social inclusion.

c) Contribute to food security through renewable energy-based water pumping, irrigation systems and agro-processing technologies.

d) To reduce carbon emissions and ensure sustainable use of natural resources through reduction of use of harmful and unsustainable energy sources such as firewood, kerosene, etc.
